Nico De Lange Had serious fuel issues on this flight. Pack 90% at KBFI, step climb at 250knts to FL350. Started running out of fuel. Was not gonna make it to Boston. Manage to change the fuel flow scalar to 0.65. Comsumption looked better thereafter. Thx for posting in forum above changing it. Phew hairy man hairy :)) Can only try to imaging what it must be like in reality. Hope some leeway will be shown with hard landing. Aplogies for that.

Ian Carine Hard landing logged. Since November, all pilots are allowed 3 hard landings in the 500-700fpm range. You now have 2 left. The 250kt speed restriction is for below 10000ft. Above 10000, you can accelerate to 330kts using a climb rate of 1800fpm. Above FL280, switch to MACH and use 0.8 for the B737 and .82-.86 for the B747. You will have to check the cruise speed for the other a/c. ian@saavirtual.org
