Ian Harrison Dieter, As this was a day time flight, I was able to see what happens. The engine on/off thing occurs as a result of a freeze on the PC. The screen becomes unresponsive and goes a light grey colour, the sound stops. If I just leave it, it restores itself after about 5/6 minutes and carries on as though nothing happened. As you say, it is probably Telkom's line with contention issues.
Dieter Magnet I am happy to hear the problem is not with our Tech. dept. Taxi time shorter than 15 secs again? Gunning those throttles on the apron :-)
