Ian Harrison ATC relief from 250kt restriction granted. MTOW is 828kg below MTOW. Could not maintain course at FL330. This plane has a recurring problem where the FMC cannot maintain course or altitude above FL290. This happened on this flight, hence the cruise of FL290. Despite this uneconomic cruise we still had enough fuel in reserve.
