Deon Schlebusch I had to power off twice due to bad weather please ajust flight time.
Dieter Magnet Senior Flight Captain, the idea of having SmartCARS is because it does the work for us. We cannot unfortunately guess your flight times for every flight this is unfair to other pilots who actually use the acars for the entire flight. Your pitch was excessive on landing and you went off the runway at FACT upon landing.
Deon Schlebusch Hi Dieter Please advise what to do then when I have bad weather at my home? The obvious thing to do is to unplug my equipment so that it does not get damage by lighting!Once it is safe I then plug everything back and then smartCARS start to monitor again but the time is not adding up. I think you over react by saying " every " flight!!
Dieter Magnet This would be your third flight which would have to be time adjusted, no other pilot has requested this or had this done even once. I would suggest not flying long-haul in bad weather. Your first FACT/KMIA flight logged 19hrs, then there was one which had to be adjusted downwards too and now your latest flight says KMIA-FACT in 1h30m?. I'm sure you can understand my reservations.
Deon Schlebusch Dieter, I then really don't know how the other pilots are doing it.They are either very good or just lucky, I, unfortunately, I cant predict bad weather at my home if I am 7 hours in a flight!! I don't decide all a sudden too do a flight when there is bad weather just to give you a hard time with the flight hours!!! How can we overcome this obstacle, because I can tell you now that I will have another flight and then there will be bad weather coming up at my home and I will have to unplug my equipment!!!
